Where is the Dominican Republic? Donde esta la Republica Dominicana?

The Dominican Republic is about a four hour flight from New York, where many Dominicans live.

It shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti which makes for many interesting observations and comparisons. The Dominican has about 5/8 of the land. Many Haitians do live in the Dominican Republic.
